Summer update from CEO, Steve de Polo
Hi there,
Over the last few weeks our operations teams have been busy getting our watersides and marinas ready to fully reopen following the removal of all government restrictions in July. We are delighted to be able to now welcome everyone back and thank you all for your patience during a trying 18 months. We are still working hard to ensure sanitiser points and hygiene remain a high priority for us and ask that you look out for local instructions at each of our marinas.
We are also working hard to ensure our marina environments look as great as they possibly can. Every site has a programme of improvements to drive higher operational standards as we exit lockdown and continue our focus on Aquavista being a quality business that our customers love.
Speaking of which we have also begun our “Meet the Manager” programme where our Waterside Managers put aside some dedicated time each month to listen to your feedback and understand and resolve any issues that you may have. These are a great opportunity to listen to you and ensure that we tackle the things that matter the most to you.
We are continuing with our programme of capital investment too. We have spent around £1m per year for the last two years on improving our sites and we plan to spend even more this year as we come out of the pandemic. Ian Bolster, our Property Manager is busy preparing and executing a number of improvements which will add value to your experience with us.
We are also working very hard on providing some great training and support for our Boaters. Our Boat Life Tips videos this month focus on CPR and using Defibrillators. You will hopefully have seen some of our videos online recently, and we are proud to put our team front and centre to show the skills and knowledge they have.
We are also getting ready for the Crick Boat Show. This is a great opportunity for Boaters to get together and we are looking forward to promoting the best of Aquavista and supporting the show in August – hopefully we will see you there!
