Double Award Victory for Aquavista
Just a few weeks after winning the East Midlands Business Masters 2024 Medium Sized Business of the Year award, Aquavista has scooped another - The Lloyds Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year Award at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards on Tuesday 12 November.
The LBBE Awards is the UK’s largest and most prestigious business awards programme that celebrates the cream of the crop in British business. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) account for over 5.5 million businesses in the UK and are responsible for the employment of 60% of the UK workforce.
This year, the calibre of finalists in each category reached new heights, with Britain’s business elite filling every seat in the room. The evening, hosted by Sarah Austin, Director of the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards, was a vibrant blend of entertainment and speeches from notable figures, including British radio and television presenter Anita Rani, Tom Kerridge, the celebrated Michelin-starred chef and television personality, and Trinny Woodhall, the renowned fashion and beauty expert who received The Inspiration Award.
Aquavista Watersides Ltd was able to beat fierce competition from 11 other high calibre businesses to take home the Lloyds Small to Medium-Sized Business of the Year Award. This award recognises SMEs that have maintained consistent growth and strong financial performance, understand their customers have an engaged workforce with effective leadership and are continually innovating to support future growth.
Steve de Polo CEO for Aquavista, said:
“I am incredibly proud of what our company and all our fantastic people have achieved to help us receive this level of recognition. This award is a testament to our collective hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. While I might have picked up the trophy at the event last night, it truly is for us all. I’d like to thank our crew for their continued hard work as we create a business we can all be proud of.”
Sarah Austin, Director of www.britishbusinessexcellenceawards.co.uk, commented:
“In 2024, highlighting the achievements of successful businesses is crucial. As companies face economic uncertainty and shifting consumer behaviours, recognising their resilience serves as a beacon of hope. Britain remains a stronghold for business, rich in talent and opportunity. Congratulations to Aquavista Waterslides on your well-deserved recognition!”

In front of an audience of over 280 business leaders from across the region, Aquavista sought off competition from three other finalists in this category.
