Job Description:
Overview: Reporting to the Marina Manager your duties are to help maintain the smooth operation of the marina by providing engineering services for the hire fleet; ownership boats and private moorers as required.
Hours of work: The hours of work for this role are: 37.5 hours per week. Including weekends and Bank holidays and out of hours cover
Place of work: The role is based at Wigrams Turn Marina, Shuckburgh Road, Napton on the Hill, Warwickshire – however you may from time to time be required to work at other inland marinas within the Aquavista group.
As part of the ‘call out’ responsibilities you will need to be prepared to work on the canal network.
Duties:
- Provide engineering services for boats based at Wigrams Turn e.g. engine/mechanical servicing, maintenance and repair.
- Ensure that accurate and appropriate information regarding the engineering tasks are made available for invoicing purposes.
- Liaise with customers to provide updates and approval as necessary.
- Order, collect and deliver parts as required for use on engineering jobs.
- Share responsibility for marina response duties outside normal working hours, for engineering emergencies for Black Prince boats.
- Where required assist with the movement and mooring of boats for customers within the marina.
- Assist with hire boat handovers and movement of vessels leaving and entering the marina.
- Where required assist with the provision of utility services e.g. diesel, gas and solid fuels.
- Assist the team to proactively sell moorings encouraging new customers to take up moorings within the Aquavista Marinas group and maintain existing customers.
- Take individual responsibility for health and safety requirements on the marina.

You may be asked to perform other or additional duties within your skills and competence and the Company may amend your duties from time to time to meet the needs of the business.
