Willpower - £115,000
“Willpower” is a one owner, Peter Nicholls built, 42’ widebeam. She is the aptly named Explorer model from this renowned builder, with ideal dimensions for both full time living aboard and cruising the more remote and inaccessible rivers and waterways.
Apart from cruising excursions, she has spent her entire life at Limehouse marina where she enjoys a fully residential mooring.
Built to a particularly high specification, she has been been very cleverly designed (her original pre build design drawings are part of her great history file which will be passed to her new owner) to maximise interior both living space and storage areas. Entering from the stern, her spacious wheel house (collapsible to allow her to pass beneath bridges and through canal tunnels) is easily large enough to accommodate a desk and chairs for home working. Going below, one enters her charming and extremely spacious saloon, fitted with wool carpet, which is larger than many much longer boats. Again, storage abounds and the fitted corner bench, beneath which is yet more storage space, easily converts into an extremely large double bed for guests. The powerful Squirrel Morso multi fuel stove has a back boiler powering radiators in the bathroom and bedroom. The current owners also commissioned a folding dinning table in the same oak and finish as the boat’s interior.
A neat breakfast bar separates the galley from the saloon and the kitchen is fully fitted with new two burner hob, fridge with freezer compartment, stainless steel sink, etc, and again, great storage space. Further forward, her bathroom is unusually spacious for a boat of her dimensions and features a larger than usual Japanese-style bath with shower overhead, wash basin, radiator, shaving socket and cassette toilet (there is ample space onboard should her new owner wish to instal a pump out toilet with holding tank).
The bedroom in the bow benefits from portholes for privacy and has a double bed, built in wardrobe and a huge area under the bow deck for yet more storage. Built in, fold down, stairs give access from the bedroom directly onto the foredeck where there is space for a table and chairs for al fresco dining whilst enjoying the spectacular marina views.
It should also be noted that Willpower has been fitted with stainless steel stanchions on her roof so the roof itself becomes a further, fabulous, outdoor living space and she was last surveyed in January 2022 when she was professionally reblacked.
