Helios is a smart 50’ narrowboat by Eastwood Engineering from 1992. Successfully surveyed and reblacked in July/August 2023, she is fitted with a new, reconditioned, Perkins marine diesel engine in 2022 and is currently lying on her fully transferable mooring at Aquavista’s Packet Boat Marina near Uxbridge, west London.

Wonderfully original below with a traditional layout meaning a good sized double bed in the stern with generous storage beneathe the bed and in wall mounted units at either end. The bathroom features a walk in shower, pump out toilet an d basin with vanity unit. The spacious galley has been updated with contemporary built in units and full size oven, separate grill and four burner hob. Hot water is provided by a recent gas fuelled system and the only item on the boat not functioning is the fridge.

Headroom is generous (c.6’ 4”) throughout the boat and the saloon features a large L shaped sofa which converts into a large double bed for guests. Heating is provided by the tidily installed stove in the saloon and twin bows doors lead to the bow deck where there is ample space for two folding chairs which are stored under the sofa.
